ABOUT
Diana Queirós is a freelance sound designer and re-recording mixer based in Copenhagen and working internationally. Her immersive and subjective approach to sound has shaped collaborations across film, documentary, art installations and experimental projects, frequently collaborating with emerging filmmakers on ambitious and personal work.
Driven by a passion for storytelling through sound, she is drawn to projects that embrace ambiguity, psychological depth and experimentation, exploring how music and sound design can blend to shape the narrative meaning and blur the line between reality and perception.
Originally from Portugal, Diana began her artistic journey studying multimedia art at the Art Academy of Porto, gradually focusing on sound as an expressive language. She has graduated in Sound Design from The National Film School of Denmark, with her projects showcased at festivals including Cannes, IFFR and Locarno.
Since 2015, she has worked as a sound editor at Mainstream ApS on major productions. Alongside this, Diana has developed her artistic voice through hands-on work in sound editing, foley and mixing, supported by mentorships with sound designer Peter Albrechtsen and foley artist Heikki Kossi in Finland.
At her core is a sensitivity to texture and detail and an interest in how sound can alter perception and expand emotional experience.
